Shining the way for water technology
3 Elements of Pile Cloth Media Disk Filter Design
Three must-haves in a successful pile cloth media disk filter design: Centrifugal pumps with valves, replace disks offline, one row of frames wedges.
GDisk® Filtration System Title 22 Achieved
Bench- and pilot-scale testing of the Beacon GDisk® filtration system with three different pile cloth medias (10, 5, and 2 µm) resulted in excellent results. Following these results, Carollo Engineers has submitted its Title 22 Performance Testing Report, Final April 2023 to the State of California Division of Drinking Water (DDW).
Title 22 Pilot Testing
Continued excellent results have come from Title 22 pilot testing of Beacon’s GDisk® DuraPile™ cloth medias at the Meridian Idaho Water Reclamation Facility. Testing protocol required data to be collected before and after our GDisk® XS pilot filter with our 10- and 5-micron filtration rating cloths.
Title 22 Testing: DuraPile™ Cloth Media
Testing preliminarily indicates that our 10-, 5-, and 2-micron filtration rating cloths will all meet California Title 22 requirements, to include less than 2 NTU average within a 24-hour period.
Do you have a pile cloth disk filter from Brand A?
Now you have an alternative for replacement cloths, Brand B, Beacon Water Technologies. Beacon’s DuraPile™ GDisk® 10-micron and 5-micron cloths are sewn to fit directly onto the wedge frames of existing disk filters.
